Peace is transquillity enshourded in delightfulness. It is derived from the inner-harmony of the body, mind and soul.
"Peace of Mind" and "Peace with God" are other ways of describing this state of consciousness that is referred to here as "Peace of Soul."
A person is a body-mind-soul being.
Each of these entities has its own specificity and function.
The body houses the mind but the body cannot exist without the mind. Although the soul is connected with the body and mind of a person it extends beyond the body and mind.
One's soul is connected with the soul or heart of God.
Unlike the body and mind that acts instinctively or in a somewhat "what comes natural" fashion, the soul, anchored and centered in God, promotes only health, not destructiveness. Beyond all else the soul seeks peace.
Care for your soul, listen to it and submit to its dictates, and your soul will take care of you and give you peace.
(Below are the lyrics that I composed to "Peace of Soul." This song may be sung to the tune of Brahms' "Cradle Song.")
Peace of soul, sweet, sweet peace;
I have peace like a river flooding
my soul with delight.
I will be a peace offering to my God
and mankind.
I will sing the song of peace
everywhere that I go.
There is peace in my soul.
