The wings of an eagle can't compare

I think a lot of things,
people don't always listen,
sometimes they glance up,
and realize I've been talking for hours
to nobody in particular

Maybe it's my fault?
I think that maybe I should fight for their praise,
I think that I need to look them in the eye,
and say 'have you even noticed that I'm stood here?'
But I think I won't like the answer.

I think the sun looks best when it's lowest,
I think that clouds look better from above,
I think that rainbows seem to be
worth a lot more after the rain has fallen.
I wonder if anybody else thinks so?

I think that looking doesn't always mean seeing,
Just as you can see without choosing to look,
I think that hearts can weep
even if the lips are smiling,
and that tears can say more than words.

I think that you can walk for miles,
but unless you actually want to be somewhere,
you'll never get to a better place.
I think that the wings of an eagle can't compare,
to jumping from a plane and flying alone.

I think that dreams can FEEL better than reality,
but what could be better than the moment,
when your dream BECOMES reality?
When you finally feel that after an entire lifetime,
you've actually lived.

Hon, I think that you think like I think too.
Sometimes I feel as if I am talking to myself. Sometimes my needs are of no value to others. Bill
