Friend of Mine.

You don't even care,
that you're breaking my heart,
that you're tearing me down with jealousy,
that you're driving me insane.

You waltz around with him,
all smiling and giggly,
holding his arm,
standing close to him.

You cast aside the fact
that I'm your friend, and that I backed off,
so that we wouldn't be rivals,
but you just stepped forward instead...

Why?
Why do you do this?
Don't you care that I'm your friend?
Obviously not,
I'll stand aside,
and make way for you both,
and wave goodbye
to a friend of mine.

Don't give up a good friend over a boy. They are like Lego's. When you lose the parts the kit is worthless.

Sometimes the heat of a moment blinds us to what we will loose in allowing the fire to burn. This was her loss. You made a choice to benefit your friendship that she does not know herself well enough to "get" yet.
This gift will come back to you ten-fold over time. The next step is letting it go when it feels right. Vicky
