Beside the still water

Out in the distant land, she sits under a weeping willow

beside the still water, speaking words that are carried

on the wind that only he can hear.

He listens with no interruptions, no questions and no

judgment, just the two of them.

She closes her eyes and reflects on the day she came

to him, so vulnerable and lost, like a puppy out in a

storm trying to find her way back home.

Tears roll down her cheeks wondering how she could

possibly live without him now. She didn’t know him

at first and wasn’t sure she wanted to. He scared her.

Softly he spoke to her with words of love. He filled

her soul with desire. Her thoughts were of him only.

She learned to be strong through his strength, and

rested in his arms when she was weary.

Out in the distant land, she sits under a weeping willow

beside the still water, speaking words that are carried

on the wind that only he can hear.

 

   For death is not the end. It’s just the beginning

This is just beautiful ~ weeping willows are my favorite tree, so comforting and soulful.
