Flashing back to Bogie & Bacall.....

Well tuned piano playing it again Sam....
Dream world helping me forget who I am....
Slow fan turning, churning smoky air....
Cool martini takes me away to where I just don't care....
In walks another dreamer and saunters to the bar....
Checking the room out quickly he knows that he's the star....
When our eyes meet finally he winks - I see his dimple....
In my dream world romance blooms; in real life not that
        simple....

Great to see something coming out of your beautiful and intelligent self. This was right up my alley. Loved those "odies but goodies," also. You put me there with this little gem. Thanks.

Love your use of evocative imagery. Well done, both personal and universal.
