a star fell on Saint Lawrence night
and so I made me a wish
I wished that you would come back home
awaken me with a kiss

I miss you on Saint Lawrence night
when stars are falling like tears
I miss you more on Saint Lawrence's night
than any other day of the year

the morning after Saint Lawrence night
I woke on the roof all alone
I blinked into the day of light
and in my hand was a stone

resting there within my palm
a meteor had dropped from the sky
a promise made in the earliest dawn
for the next Saint Lawrence's night
