night falls
shadows
suggest themselves
around everyday objects,
tree and fence, stile and barn
carefully wrapped and
hidden away
in the evening damp
like toys in the nursery,
carefully set away
for the next day's play
night falls
in the growing dusk
young lovers
rush joyfully bedward
cares abandoned
with the day's clothes strewn-
hopes embraced
with passion's ardor
night falls
and the sojourner,
travel stained and road weary,
careworn, hopeless, and save for one,
settles down
for sleep
for rest
for peace
at the last

Each verse is very good poetry,I think my favorite was the first,very beautiful and vivid to my inner eye.Each verse different in the feelings,(1./ made me feel contentment,2./gave me feeling of happiness,3.made me feel sad.)
