squish between her toes

the little creepy-crawlies
wiggle and squirm in that mud

might recall that mud is the font of life
that with this mud
god created the biosphere
from this mud god called
snail and pachyderm,
feline and canine,
ameba and man.
oh, that the church could stand
in the squishy, smelly mud
rejoicing in lusty, earthy involvement
in the world
This is an amazing, thought provoking, slightly disturbing write--SPOT ON!!! It should make the reader squirm in their seat. I'm saving this one--the whole series--
I agree! If the congregation could take their minds off themselves and their special outings, and pet projects etc, and concentrate on helping the needy in their community, it would be grounded where it is supposed to be!
