SINK or SWIM
(A poem about the crossroads of faith.) Chord pattern: C Am Dm G
SINK or SWIM
When life is full of cross-roads
Wherever you may be
They open up your eyes
And the choice is plain to see
Sink or swim, sink or swim.
When that cross-road is religion,
Just where do you belong?
Is it music or a mantra you prefer?
Or incense burning without song
Sink or swim, sink or swim
Hold on to it or let go
Work out your plan or plan to run
Speak out or be stay silent
Be ready or be done
Sink or swim, sink or swim.
When crossroads can’t be understood
Where will the answers be?
Then try to find a doctrine
And assess if it’s for me
Sink or swim, sink or swim.
And if you find the answers
Contentment you have found
Others seek your fortune
And hear your joyous sound.
Sink or swim, sink or swim.
Sink or swim, sink or swim.
Sink or Swim
