~Why Do I Write~

To give that hidden, voiceless, part of me a voice?
To open doors to shut off parts of me freedom?
To give pent up feelings wings?
To tell those around me how I feel, what I think, what I need?
To help expose the real to the world?
Not for the praise of other men, but to praise my maker
Sarah write to successfully express yourself to your fellowman. If you write to self and no one understands this self you write about or gives meaningful comments, you fail as a writer. Some can be poets and other not ... including some
learned men who write here and are "klutz" ... washouts when it comes to poetry and self expression. So seek your examples carefully. Some of the poets here use high soundly words to obfuscate what they are saying (not enlighten the reader) ... making the reader feel he should know what they are talking about, but doesn't, and they give high marks always to those who babble on an educated level. Then there are those plus 10++++
givers who are more interested in the poet than the poetry. What is on their minds is not turning a word but turned the poet over and over. These are the very ones you need to watch out for. They open their mouths and nothing comes out but hot air. Bill Murray ((Hugs))
