Forgotten Soldiers

Off they headed to Vietnam
To defend our native land
Not thinking about never coming home

Brave soldiers, fighting
To protect family and home
Watching men fall left and right
Many ones they had known

Many returned to a hero’s welcome
Others to be ignored and forgotten
Even by their families

Forgotten soldiers, living as poor
Fallen heros after the war

Sadly this is true, and to many are still fighting the demons left over from the war!
