Will you ever, my angel, see the soft and caring heart within? All you seem to see is the shell of denial you have placed yourself in.
I don’t understand Lord, what your purpose could be when you place my heart’s desire back in front of me. Just when I feel I have finally found the freedom I seek, without the sorrow around. There he stands before me, the love of my dreams... And he asks of me quietly, "How have you been?" He looks much more peaceful than in days gone by, yet every time I walk away, there are tears in my eyes. What is it I am missing, where have I gone wrong... I still hear the music, he still plays the song. Our hearts still touch, so quietly within, he still holds the magic I see in my dreams. What is your purpose, and why must I be awash in the sorrow of love’s great blue sea? Does he not even realize, I am the love that he seeks? The one that you placed here to help build his dreams. If I can see so clearly your purpose with this love... Then why is he so blinded in his denial? Will he ever as we live here, open his eyes to this beauty true ... All this love I hold inside for him, given to me from you. To share, to help him heal, to hold his tears as they fall from his eyes, to hold him close and touch his heart, to bring him back to your blue skies. So, please dear Lord, I pray to you, one more time please let me in so that I may share this love you shower ‘pon me, from you, for him.
A POwerful prayer, almost a spiritual chant, I'm sure the answer lies within the extent of this poem, coming as a reminder to perceive our present hour. Metaphysics interplay with natural theology here. Thanks Deborah.
