Soaring on wings of the endless dawn
Skimming the earth...only as pawns
Before we know it...
In no time at all
We'll deserve what we have
With no where to fall
Let favorite illusions be as they must
Fleeting they come
As going they rust
We've visited before
Devored it all
Savored the taste and just had a ball
Together as friends
Escorting our muse
Shared ageless beauty and boundless reviews
Dearest of hearts and ageless ambitions
Hold me quick...fast
Keep tight this transition
Tomorrow will come and in all our haste
The sunset will blossom with no after taste
Then just as the midnight collapses around us
Our daydreams balloon ...
Our tears become rusted
Our hearts will regain what beat it remembers
As dawn brings new drama to dying old embers
And daylight reminds us that living is pain
Until nighttime commits us to travel again.

THIS is so dramatic, Susan, and the fact that every damn word of it is so in-your-face with the reality of life and death and all that goes on in between. Reading it I had a funny feeling that it was being written for me. That is the beauty of this poem, it affects the reader in in personal way. GREAT GOING!
