Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate... but that we are powerful beyond means...

Poem Artwork

The heart of the matter is transitioning
Going from fear to fearless
It's allowing yourself to be free
It's like climbing a tree, being treeless

It's taking each rung of the ladder
Then stepping off at times
Floating in place without falling
Free falling within your mind

Cushioning fears without fearing them
Allowing your mind to regress
Digging past pain without tearing up
Freeing your heart of all stress

You can jump right off of the jagged edge
Leaping into the abyss
Grasping for help and not getting it
Believeing in what you missed

Finding the self inside of you
The person you trust all the most
Locating the shine of all power
Finding it in your life's host

Finding the heart of the matter
Knowing it's in you all this time
Believing in what's within you
Conditioning all that you find.

Each of us has it within ourselves to be great [or not]. How we choose to proceed is determined by our fears and our strengths, and our ability to handle each step in our journey.

Insightful poem from an enlightened heart.

Believing in one's self is probably the best thing we can strive for in life, and you pen it very well.

How do you do it? Each day you give us something to cherish, to carry around with us for all time, to better understand ourselves . . . How do you do it?

You're right, the heart of the matter and also I think the hardest part of life is transitioning. Something I've allways been fearful of
yet every time I suffer it I can feel myself awakening even more.
This is very special to me. Such a wise and beautiful poem, thank
you for this, Love, Pierre

Going from "fear to fearless" - transitioning - Something we are always in process with, but after 25 years with my art and life I find it hard and somehow still fear inadequacies, which can only be surmounted by performance. So it is on & on & keep on...
But I like you as a poet, you don't just write the normal pulp romance crap... you make us think & feel
(just lucked out tonite on finding you at the head of the poetry column...)

Susan,

Excellent write, and I like Regis' question. Do I have the strength? No, but I keep praying for it. :) Well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

You offer some wise advice here, Susan. Now. Who has the intestinal fortitude to follow it? Love and peace,
