This was written after studying Rodins statue of "The Kiss". My thoughts wandered to the models he chose and the obvious true love there that Rodin collected to inspire his art. These lover's never realized their love would become immortal. What a wonderful love story.
The Kiss *
This spirit entered hearts in unspoken circumstance
The nudge of nothing whispered deep it's time to take this dance
The lips of pink, a rosy flush and dew that sparkled eyes
Unbridled charm with a jesters wit and passions undisguised
Words that speak of promised eons...verbage even bolder
Lightening waltzing flesh to flesh...dressing down the shoulders
Lips of moisture opened slight to carry whispered plans
A tongue to lick the dewdrops clean...an oath for which they stand
"Come here to me...closer still," as shadows danced with light
Tongues reach out to lick each word...on this provocative stormy night
This woman and her mighty man...this kiss that beckoned more
The moans that sliced a piece of her...his tongue that bit her core
The fuzzy thirst of opened wounds healing with love's glue
Her stare to him...his eyes of brown...and hers of azure blue
Spoken passions, whispered shut and dizzy lifts that zoomed
Uplifted forms dance free of weight in the spinning of their room
The kiss that clung and tongues that wove in total ecstasy
Love took hold...etched these hearts...in red hot intimacy
Arms entwined and passions kept...as mouths took hold of lips
Breaths were shallow with each sigh as love took kissing sips
Then sweeter gulps of first kiss bloomed as souls let go of pains
When lovers kissed their beginning kiss and showers turned to rain
Then thunder took stronghold of loins and heat kept rising still
This kiss became the pleasure of souls that burned with chills
Their greeting sealed together hearts...from kiss to burning skin
Molded forms, erotic play...this statue by Rodin
Figures of two lovers steeped in passions locked embrace
The fever of these two who wore loves smile upon their face
This kiss, the whispered wet and wild...beginning of a chance
Then arms that sealed each moment there in fate's immortal dance.
Never really thought of it in this light but you brought the statue and the models to life for me and now they so passionately embrace in my mind forever.

PS I do have a ceramic copy of it on my dresser in the bedroom...maybe I bought it for inspiration.
Perhaps Rodin was reaching out to his immortal love, whom he had not yet found, through this beautiful piece of his art,I'm not sure, but
I am sure no one could illustrate this with words quite like you.
The clarity with which you see this is amazing.
Attemptilng to add to the beauty of this work of art is BOLD!
You passed the test! You DID it! Wonderful words from one who knows! Gazing at the work will never be enough, now that we have your poem. - Bill
"Spoken passions, whispered shut and dizzy lifts that zoomed
Uplifted forms dance free of weight in the spinning of their room"
wonderfully worded lines, very striking poem.
I have to admit, however, that after hearing the story of Camille Claudel who really suffered a lot for being a great sculptor, a woman and Rodin's young lover, I am not sure I appreciate the man.
Did you know that Camille is said to have made parts of Rodin's sculptures, especially hands?
Anyway, your writing is very passionate and effective.
This exceptional book, Celebrating the Gift of Being Alive, has the perfect thoughts and words for birthdays, graduations, engagements, marriages, and any life celebration or family tradition.
These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
What a marvelous poem.
