An old poem.

I'll not ask that you love me or beg you for your time
If it isn't what is possible
Then keep it...nevermind
Life is such a short spurt
Here on earth with you
I'll not whine on cause you snubbed me
I won't allow myself the blues
You see what matters most here
Is the quality of time
If your time for me is short lived
Then keep it, nevermind
You see love is forever
It needs nourishment from you
I can't be bothered when there's no chance
Of getting time from you
Just walk on by me quickly
Don't even stop to pause
The distance now is fathomless
There really is no cause
Keep your eyes focused
I haven't any rhymes
Wasting my day is fruitless
Even when I had the time.

Love needs a key and most of the time the key never fits. A woman so independant and knowing exactlly what she wants is a woman who knows her heart and only those who she can trust. Great write.
Love ya, April

Susan, These words you have written, are those of wisdom and insight. This message you bring applies to anyone in your life, no matter if they are a significant other, a child, a friend, co-worker this poem tells it like it is. Life is too short to waste a single moment..
Peace, love, and light,

I'll not whine on....
Whining has it's own rewards if only for a moment.
I wonder if therapists see all their patients as whiners?
Hmmmm.

Adore. I love the key phrase; reminds me of a country song. Very lyrical, which is something I always favor. Loved this read, Susan!

...sometimes...there is more love held within one...than to be shared by two...and in passing...there are more moments not lost...until love becomes more than a pass.

I love this one, my dear Susan . . . The pain and anger (yes, there is anger too) leaps out at the reader, and I dare say there will not one person who reads this that don't correlate it to themselves . . . THAT, is what you do . . . You put us right there with you . . . Standandtakeabow . . .

Karma Bank to Following By Listening by Chiemi

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
