Inside the confines of an illusion it is difficult to find reason for pride. We risk making mistakes that can not be undone when falling for it. Ignorance is fertile soil misperceptions at the base of which is almost invariably temptation. Pride is one of temptation's favorite mindsets to induce. Thank you for creating and sharing. Long ago I was taught that pride was a bad thing, a sin. Since then I
have realized that pride is actually a double edged sword. It can be a tool of good as well as evil, as our most things in this existence of ours. Very few things are completely good or completely evil, I think that if we use our pride to judge,then it turns bad. If we use our pride to celebrate the joy in others and ourselves, then it is good.

Even though I'm sure to run into more of this as I age, even now I can appreciate how real this sentiment is. Pride is so ugly, and you portray it so well. The ugliness is not in just the sin itself, but in the dominos that it knocks down. Wonderful write! We need this reminder.

Again you write from wisdom with a view of the heart and your honesty shines through. Pride is a two sided thing...pride in our childrens accomplishments can be a wonderful thing, but not seeing our children do somthing because of our own foolish pride is hateful indeed... interesting write for sure.
