We're looking for our heroes
John Wayne ? Tarzan?
Gone...
Perhaps Schwarkof or Disney
Such a difference
Still one is gone...
Clinton's out with George Washington
And Washington is gone
Bill C. can't be a hero
His ethics are all wrong
Then Abe our Mister Lincoln
He's gone with sands of time
Where are the modern heroes
Stand up and rise to shine
They are to be remembered
In case you just forgot
Minute Men of September
When terror took a shot
The heroes of the Towers
The ones that stood defiant
When faced with mortal terror
They became our giants
Minutemen of 9-11
Though nameless are a few
Heroes of September
God and his new crew
History gave us heroes
Terror gave us tears
But out of ashes rose the flag
New heroes calmed our fears
Minutemen of September
Your epic valor waves
Freedom has new meaning
America, land of the brave!
All this talk of terror and war. Let's not forget what this country was founded upon and let's all reflect upon September 11th and why we still fight for freedom. Afterall this is only my opinion and thank God I live in a country where I have a voice.
--Amen
