Something to think about and a great sidebar to my recent article on God.

SKR

Enigmas through time enjoy the change
If wishes enhance then spirits gain
Our mind's eye restores trusts that are lost
Then boost our enigmas with strength at all cost
We end up with Gods who constantly sing
The need for like bodies who fly on the wing
Our wants are enhanced with that of a God
Then wishes are higher when given this nod
We want the impossible, we need to nurse
Upon Gods with flavors we can't have...then we curse
Why do we build way beyond dreams?
Why does the nature of love redeem
Past history's bluffs and lying ambitions?
Why does the host lose these situations?
Why do our egos adjust for our God
Who is merely a dream with a promising nod?

A fine synthesis of thought and lyicism here, Susan...
"Why do our egos adjust for our God
Who is merely a dream with a promising nod?"
