Has it always been thus, my Father?
Delusion chasing illusion
In never ending circles.
Broken hearts chasing after fresh aches.
Imagining freedom,
In the freedom to imagine
As deception in a thousand guises
Builds elaborate paths to nowhere.
A maze with no exit.
Nations struggling to rise
To the full height of their destruction.
Peoples vainly reaching for their slain cultures
With arms too full.
Jealously clasping in their own hands the murder weapon.
Unable to put it down
For the avarice within.
Uselessly seeking the absolute power of God Himself
But never seeking God himself.
A seeking after equality
With that which has no equal.
Has it always been thus, my Father?
Or is this the time of times foretold?
Have we reached the end of long suffering?
Does even the heart of God
Grow weary from ache?
Do You await only the last of Your children?
Is Your mighty hand unstaying
Before our very eyes
As You gather Your people in full embrace?
As this world crumbles before us
Do You turn our eyes to a new future?
Do You lift us up as on wings of eagles
To a place of hope from a land of despair?
Is that Your mighty hand like air beneath our feet
As you lift our hearts to higher places?
Has it always been thus, my Father?
Or is this the time of times foretold?

Thankyou for the "Well Done". Regarding your other comments though it is perhaps a good opportunity to correct a common misunderstanding. Indeed you may enjoy as best you can but like so many you assume that "come to pass" also means "come to finish" rather than "come to begin". The Bible talks of things to come WHEN it was written. Have you contemplated the possibility that things have indeed been passing for a tad over 2,000 years now. That perhaps we see not the beginning of Revelation but perhaps the beginning of the end of Revelation?
But I speak to those who wish to hear. Those who do not wish to hear, usually do not hear anyway. They are, as always, free to turn the page unread. The greater things in life will not change for their doing so - and neither will they, and life will go on - for a time.

Well done, DJ. "Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not perish before these things come to pass." The endtimes have been predicted before. "They" didn't know what they were talking about 2000 years ago and I doubt "they" do now. Each of us will pass away, individually or all together. I think it's best to enjoy life as best you can without worrying about something as esoteric as "end times".
