Love You Deepika...

"Love You Deepika..." is the fourth installment of my yearly poetry series flag, "ambition girl". Every year I write a poem about a female fiction character whom I adore or either have fallen in love. They have been all funny so far but interesting, immense female personalities.

“That love is a crux and eternal from our generations past
And that dad’s too have infatuations beyond our mom’s”,
Are not sufficient reasons for a proud daughter’s debut poem?

A fishy story about a young small man obsessed with a superstar
Because of her brown slender legs and hot short pants with mystery inside
More than a hungry man enjoying a dish of roasted pamphlet
Is nothing new in the era of a bollywood fan and a common man.

That digression sells and sex smells too ardent among boys and men
Or maybe too common subjects with virgins dying for their Adam’s sin
Falls too short & helpless for a Romeo completely baked in obsession.

But this man behaved with a tinge of difference in a ransom poetic form
Someone whom Deepika could have loved in the real celluloid bin;
More than any football star in the club of Manchester did ever achieve.

“When you conspire to get your love like a myth, the system begets you”,
Is all what he said till today: relationships dazzle us like cocktails
And it is better to love someone in a distance high hoarding to your arms
Being a parent, being a father, being a poet who followed John Donne.

But did she ever conceive his fathom of love unknowingly?
Between his fingers and those Filmfare pages that once featured her hottest flames,
Or maybe in his wrist watch that once stopped when she slept with him in dreams.

You have a fantastic way with words. However, fantasies about beautiful movie stars are one thing… Obsessions are another.
