To my brother and sister writers:
This is my first conscience attempt at writing a tanka, one of the oldest forms of Japanese poetry. Instead of using nature, I use the nature of a relationship that is so very close to my heart. All I know is this is a very tough genre to master, and I hunger to learn more.
