of their own lives by choice.

Cynth'ya this poem tells it like it is. The gay/lesbian, and transgendered communites, the black community, the hispanic community, and the communities of those that are inherently different than the powers that be, are always the ones to suffer, while the criminals with money or family to back them up with high priced lawyers, get off scott free.
They say there are no innocent people in prison. BS! Police perjure themselves on the witness stand, juries don't like anyone who is different and find them guilty, supreme courts of each state, and of the United States, don't care anymore about rights violations, just as long as they can fill an empty prison cell.
What a lot of people don't realize is, prisons actually get federal funding for as many prisoners they have in their institution. So, when a person is charged with a crime, and that person has not committed that crime, the jury will find that person guilty, whether or not the person did anything.
Thank you sharing these words Cynth'ya, because they tell it like it is.
