BORDER PATROL
Our country is facing challenges,
we need to find a better way.
Our borders are being breached
each and every day.
To me the thing that matters,
is that our country remains united.
And, those protesting illegal aliens
should all be uninvited.
Send them back to their homelands
and do it in a hurry.
The resulting job openings
will give us less about which to worry.
Oh I’ve heard that tired story,
no one will work for those low wages.
Well, water seeks its own level
and competition comes in stages.
When there’s no one to do the work
at the pittance they want to pay,
the price for the job goes up,
or it awaits another day.
When our people go back to work,
the crime level drops.
Pretty soon we find ourselves
laying off some cops.
Yes it’s a vicious cycle,
but it’s a proven philosophy,
competition for a job
brings out the best in me.
We shouldn’t lower our standards,
or compromise what we believe.
We need to protect our borders
from all those crooks and thieves.
They wouldn’t be called illegal,
if they had honored all our laws
and there’s nothing about deportation,
which should cause us any pause.
Taking from our grandchildren
to tend to some illegal persons needs,
can’t be the proper method
of planting tomorrow’s seeds.
When it comes to charity,
our country does it’s share,
but do all of our good deeds
ever get us anywhere?
In many foreign country’s
we’re among the worlds most hated,
but all the aid that we have given
always seems to be underrated.
The billions that we give
each and every year,
instead of bringing protests
should bring a great big cheer.
We could say to hell with it,
lets just look after our own,
but that’s not the USA,
nor how we want to be known.
So, we send our boys to die
fighting for the rights of others.
This country gives a lot
as do many of its mothers.
