POOR ELIN
I’ve just written an article,
I don’t write very many.
It’s titled “Poor Elin,”
it’s about a Swedish Nanny.
She married a famous American,
no one knew her intentions,
but being rich and famous
is the reason most often mentioned.
If so, she got her wishes,
some would say “in spades.”
Whatever her situation,
now she’s really got it made.
Today I posted that article,
you can read it here on the Den
I don’t often offer my opinion
but today I did it once again.
I’ll probably go to hell
for saying those awful things,
but all I’ve got is my pen,
I never learned to sing.
