Poem Artwork

Words out of the head too ink,
letting others know what we think.
Private thoughts slipping out,
via the so called poetic route.
Versing and rhyming team,
nothing but a tell all scheme.

Inner feelings seeping through,
every word wrote by me and you.
Sometimes not even knowing,
some of the gut inks showing.
I'm tired of spilling the beans,
thinking about zipping up the jeans.

It is truly evident,
that I am quite confident.
But a lot of my word,
I do not want it heard.
I end up inking it anyway,
in almost all I write to say.

What a trap!

G

Yeah it can be a trap, Grady. Often I write things that I don't think apply to me at all and later when I read them, I can see how it aligned with my life at that time. Writing is a release or outlet, and it proves that we are all human and pretty much the same, especailly when we relate to the words of others.
Take care,
Sherry

Yeah, Grady. It's a trap. You (and I) can't not write as long as we can think and spread ink. Good thoughts.
Best regards,
Leland

Good example was the poem, "sexy behinds." After I wrote this, my next thoughts was, I shouldn't have. But I tell everyone, over the years my wife has driven me up a tree, about the ladies walking in front of me. Like I put them there. Maybe I should close my eyes or something, anyway after 20 years I've never cut out on her with another woman. I have track record, a good one. Figure the math. Don't sweat the small stuff!
