I'm writing these type poems because some seem to think I am referencing myself and others. This isn't always the case. I've had a few reviewers say things like, "hope your problems will be over soon or I'm praying for you." Don't get me wrong I appreciate the concerns but all my poems aren't about others or myself when I use the terms "you and I." Same goes for they or them. Anyway this is just a poem listed under literary criticism, so don't take it too serious.
You may show, but it's not the you I know. I may be used in poem or write, but it's not the you in sight. They're only forms of expression, not words used for aggression.
You and I may star, just words is what they are. They may join others, word sister and brothers. Together they may equal creation, some type expression in summation.
They may come to life, expressing love, or misery and strife. Whatever the show in view, it won't equal you, or I.
Yip we all reading each poem with the intention that it was written to you by the author....and that is how I read a poem to feel the depth of it...otherwise they become meaningless words.....and when I am done and move to another I close that chaper and float on the next one!! Some stay imprinted in my mind some just escape my mind!!
Maybe I am wrong but that is how I read , feel and understand the power of each and every poem I read!!
