Just a poem, but it would be nice to get a break sometime. Love really rides the mind and cupid is love stupid. A little contradiction in this. Too much of anything can be a pain.

Poem Artwork

Smack me out of this trance,
the best thing in life is romance.
Love thoughts in the morning,
love thoughts in the evening,
love thoughts at super time,
love seems to forever sublime.

Can we get a one minute break,
before our hearts start to ache?
Surely there must be a place,
where love can not trace.
Cupid get off our back,
put your arrows back in the sack.

Then again this love ride is great,
might as well let love dictate.
We're so weak,
our resistance seems bleak.
There's nowhere to run,
nowhere to hide,
so we might as well
enjoy the ride.

G

Yep. But I've met a few people who seem to be immune to lovesickness, G. However, if I had to chose between immunity and catching the love flu, I think those of us who are prone to catching it are better off. It means we have warm hearts. :-) Good write. ~~Nordette
