At first I wasn't whole hearted,
I just simply started.
Didn't really know what I was doing,
but I knew I was poetically ensuing.
The more I got involved,
the more my word evolved.

Now I'm a poetic maniac,
big time victim of verse hijack.
Then there's my peers,
the sweet and sour little dears.
It seems as though we're in competition,
all writing for best recognition.
I'm with the game,
but it's not all about name.
I love it all just the same.

Too me it's an item of interest,
not an icon of contest.
It's something I love too do,
it seems to make me happy & not blue.
Poeming has me in a trance,
so on I'll go with this romance.
