Speak Your Mind

Speak your peace or forever hold it. You'll probably be better off holding it.

Speak your mind,
love and hate you may find.
It maybe about what you say,
if so get ready for a good or bad day.
The good will have you flying,
the bad might have you crying.

We may go on a speaking spree,
others just might not agree.
It may not be about wrong or right,
some fools just like to fight.
Morals don't play in,
some could care less about sin.

I've been told I have a gift,
but it seems more like
a never paid up rift.
I was accused of being a
warlock with verse,
able to cast one with curse.
And this isn't the worse.

I was told I have no room to talk,
and that my warlock behind
should take a walk.
A walk right off the plank,
in shark infested water and sink.
So thanks for the gift of gab,
I'm about as hated as
an Iraq terrorist Arab.

So then we might find the words of the supplanter not so confusing any more. For why would they question. I have never been leary of telling my thoughts for I trust where they come from. And I believe that all learn to speak their mind when they trust their own truth. I loved you spirit in this write. Lady J

I am glad you do; I need to do the same, but if I do, I am apt to get into trouble. Scary, isn't it?

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(

I often will speak my mind, especially if it is about something that I am passionate about...however, I have learned to be selective about many things, it is often better for one to hold their tongue and keep their thoughts to themselves...and often more peaceful this way! Much of this also depends on my mood at the time of opportunity! Great write one, very poignant!
Blessings,

You need to find a "Mr. Rogers" neighborhood.
Sometimes the good Lord gives us signs it is time to move on, and we don't pay any attention.

Said in your own unique style. Phuck the critics. You write, they bitch. Guess who really wins? ROFL...losers always lose.

Hummm. Wish I could make all that rhyme like you do, Grady.
