Zero from zero, el zapo, with the crapo!

Nothing from nothing,
leaves nothing.
I came here with nothing,
I'll probably leave with nothing.
To expect something,
would be asking too much,
I like to stay in touch.

Stay in touch with my reality,
I was given life by my father,
other than that he gave me nothing,
he was a dead beat,
left baby boy out on the street.
All my life I've had to dig and scrape,
dad didn't even leave me his landscape.
He had children that equal almost a dozen,
left all his land to a cousin.

I don't even expect a review,
anyway I only get a few.
So don't even leave me your chit,
just go on and get.
Anyone with a better story to tell,
consider yourself blessed as well.

Hi Grady, I'm sure you have done better than your father has. My parents had fathers like yours. They never left their children anything either. If they had anything, they left it to people outside their family. Both of my parents grew up mostly in children's homes. Now about those reviews, I know what you mean about them. I wanted to win an edit on my new novel, but it is hard to get anyone to read even the first three chapters. However, the few who have, read all seven chapters, some were upset because I am only posting seven chapters. They want to read more. I am making them wait until the novel is published though, to read the rest.

Keep up your hope. How is your second book coming?

Best wishes,
Patty

You are a self made man Grady and you have much to be proud of. If Dads only realized their influence on their children's lives. A reflective write, tinged with a bit of justified anger.
