All you got to do is start,
writing will get in your soul and heart.
Something will motivate you to write,
you just might end up writing day and night.
Whether you're wrong or right,
depending on the vision in your sight,
you'll overcome the fright,
your words and expression will take flight.

But you'll still be on the ground,
wondering somewhere in the lost and found,
especially when others try to bring you down.
In the door comes your resolve,
your ability to positively evolve,
so you'll go on and solve.
After the initial break in,
you'll even be able to hang in the den.

After becoming a veteran,
you'll be able to pitch your excedrin.
Books may call your name,
verse may ignite your flame.
But one things for sure,
you might get hooked in this writing game,
or retreat from your shame.
