Each and everyday I defy
I'll always figure
a good and bad why
On this poetic board
the lions and tigers roared
Since I've been here quite a few
poets have been floored
Others lasted and adored Even while the vultures
and buzzards soared
This is a jungle wild
no place for an adult or child
Poets shouldn't even be here
especailly if they have fear
Fear in the poets eye
in his brain will only multiply
Makes no difference how
you slice the apple pie
In my eye I feared rejection
My fear came true in connection
no matter how hard my correction
but with a good and bad why
I managed to make a dissection
I survived this crazy poetic board
to become one of the
lions and tigers that roared
I am now one of the vultures
and buzzards that soared
Day and night I prey
piss others off with
the things I say
At times I piss myself
when I unload the shelf
The nature of the poetic beast
I love to have my feast
whether I'm liked
the most or the least
With me Grady - YOU will be forever LIKED and LOVED!

This is a very incisive, sharp, and witty poem. While it is true there are some who "review" in very tactless and rude ways, we still find fulfillment in what WE DO write. Our vindicaton comes later in the form of checks and royalties....so why care?
Excellent, G...though i thought you might be speaking of Rufuz, him being the only poetic beast I know of...and I personally have never read anything of yours that would piss me off, or for that matter of anyone else, I just go with that proverbial poetic flow, opinions like Arseholes everybody gotz one...Keep being true to the self...Ed & Rufuz
