I don't know about you
but writing a term paper
use to frighten me
My last term paper
in high school was
plagiarized but I made
an A minus on it

When I first started
writing verse
I had to cop an attitude
which made things worse
I put my foot down
Because many times
I almost quit
I had this fear of
bad grammar
and the old dot every eye
cross every tea slammer

Then I got slammed
some of my verse
was dammed
Not only on AD
but other poetic sites
I had to pay a fee
fight or flee
even though
writing there was free

I had to cop an attitude
when I wrote my first book
because I knew I really
wasn't a writer
but I am a strong fighter
The old term paper
syndrome hit
again I almost quit

After all the years
through all the fears
My final conclusion
It takes nerve to write
especially on a
public poetic site
Writing books is also
hard as hell
getting published as well
Then you have to suffer when
your book doesn't sell
