When verse calls I answer.

We all are headed in
some direction
headed there to make
a holy or unholy connection
For some Zeus is waiting
and the devils dictating
Either direction life can
be very stimulating

I come to verse
for better and not worse
Verse is appreciating
it does some negotiating
Verse always knows
the complete truth
good and bad
don't be careful it may
come out sad

True feelings have a tendency
to show their face
verse all of them out
the poet my suffer disgrace
I never come to verse
to hurt others feelings out right
but at times my verse
takes on a bite
I become like the vampire
roaming the night
a blood sucker that doesn't
mind a good fight
but only if I'm right

Grady, in your limericks you always make so much sense. Love it! There are people who just live to be "hurt" or "wounded" or "crushed to the max" and tell you how much. Gives them validation in their sick souls. What a waste of energy. You keep writing and I'll keep reading.

Love,
Elizabeth
