The mythologicals messed around
Zeus was always getting down
He tripped through his portal
watchout mere mortal
Hercules was his half god
half human offspring on earth
Zeus' goddess mate Hera
regretted baby Herc's birth
gave Herc a hard time for
what it's worth

In the meantime the love god Cupid
shot his love arrows everywhere
seems like who they hit he didn't care
It seems Cupid felt that there
was plenty of love to spare
Down on earth the mere mortals
had no control over their romance
Fall in love take a chance

In the far and near east
many wives seemed to be a feast
no such luck with one wife at least
Most western societies adopted
the one wife category
even this ended up being quite
a joke and mixed up story
