(Only fight when absolutely necessary.)

Sure some people will try to take advantage

Of kindage

Being kind doesn't mean being a fool

It means taking to school

The take advantage fool

My type of being kind means being nice to myself by not overracting on other people because of anger. Anger makes you want to curse, fight and maybe sometimes kill. People will push you into being mean to them.

This is the type kindness I'm refering too.

"Realizing that your fellow man/woman is only human and trying very hard not to mess them up even if they deserve it."

My wife starts an ARGUEMENT. Normally I would argue back with her. In the more kind approach I simply don't argue back unless absolutely necessary. I make my point then just simply leave the area. In other words I don't keep on adding fuel to an already flaming situation. Then I'll understand how stressful my relationship is and simply chump down to make things easier on myself. You don't be kind to yourself when you assault another person and the police end up running in your door and maybe locking you up.

I'm having problems with my neighbors and I really want to do something mean to them also. However being kind means not going out of my way unless absolutely necessary to probably do something that will end up getting me into trouble or make an already dumb situation worst.

Don't go scratch the neighbors car, poison his dog, or burn his house down even if he deserve one or all of these mean things. In my case I always think about being more kind to myself. Because if I get caught I really might end up in more trouble.

Don't go chase someone down or get out of your car to argue or fight. Be glad the fool missed you and go on. When you go looking for an argument or a fight you might end up getting more than you bargained for.

The first normal reaction in life is anger and to show someone that you are just as bad as they are. Or maybe that you aren't afraid of them either. Whatever the case in a situation like this.

But have you really thought about being kind to yourself by not letting anger put you is a worse situation. "He who can walk away, may live to walk away many more times in life."

This whole being kind thing is about lightening up and being nicer to yourself.

It's best to live on the defense

And not the offense

(I posted this because of a Quote in one of my poems  about being kind. I just thought I would try to explain the type kindness I was referring too.)

So I walked away

Some told me to stay

Fight the fool

It would have made me more cool

It would have even been more fun

They didn't know the fool had a loaded gun.

(This last poem really happen to me. This guy knew I could beat him and he was waiting for me to attack him so he could pull his gun and shoot me down like a dog.)

He wanted me to go on the offense so he could argue self defense. Like I didn't know what he was up too.

I walked away

Didn't fall for his play

Now I'm still here today

You've learned that the attacker/instigator is the one with the problem. Wise man. They will go to any lengths to prove their point, and it is best to walk away. [or write a poem about their subterfuge] smiles.

Good advice,I find it hard to walk away when I am having the living daylights bashed out of me by someones cruelity.... but your advice is right,it is better to walk away even when you are right.(I can't do it though yet, perhaps one day,I'll get there).
I love your poem.
