I didn't use to kiss up,
I use to fight, argue, and beat up.
The more I fought,
the more my ass was taught,
a very valuable lesson in life.
If you ever want any peace,
you got to learn too chump down a little at least.
I use to get mad and go on the war path,
then end up going to far with the punishment bath.
Then from over doing the fight,
I would lose my own perspective sight.
Then I ended up doing a lot of make up,
or my whole life would began to break up.
I lost jobs,
had many relationship sobs.
Lost friendships,
then ended up on lonely trips.
I could go on with the f-ups,
which caused me many trips ups,
so I'll just say this:
When I quit being so mean,
and started being,
more tolerant,
my life became more elegant.
In the old days,
my job now would be in the grays.
But instead,
I have peace of mind with no dread.
Sure my boss wasn't right,
but I kissed up and didn't continue the fight.
I let the stupidty be on the boss,
by reminding myself of the correcting cost.
Oh, we worked it out.
But I took a more civilized route.
My wife is always causing trouble,
but I refrain from the bad rumble.
I only address,
when things are really a mess.
If I didn't do a little kissing up,
and easing up,
my whole life would now be corrupt.
I'd be in divorce court.
and my job would be on the abort.
I go for the stability,
and tranquility.
If I have to kiss up a little,
it's better than losing a lot,
or the whole jackpot.
