Total existence of ones being,
a whole universe or nothing.

The letter came early one day,
the mailman left it and walked away.
It smelled of sweet perfume,
the lovely scent filled my room.
I put it to my nose,
then just for a few moments I froze.

Caught up in a moment of ecatasy,
I ventured on into my fantasy.
In a field of beautiful flowers we sat,
hugged up on a picnic mat.
Peering into each others vision,
giving into our love admission.

Venturing back to reality,
I finally read the letter in totality.
Signed with one word before name,
inside it ignited a flame.
That one word was
love,
a sweet prayer answered
from God
above.
