red hot ribbons
fall
slowly in the night
tender are the moments
set forth in sight
to merge as one
feeling a passion
hotter than the sun
flashing like a comet
across a midnight sky
higher than any bird
could ever fly
no time to care
how or why
softly
gently cooling
floating back down
to our earthly home
vowing to never
leave each other alone
