                         ~~GILDED IVY~~
                Embrace the Romance

Slender to hold ole the journal
              Gilded ivy tracing the leather
              Pages parched with desires

Ivy planted in the earthen sod
              Neath their abode
              Lavender rows lush 'o' fragrance

              Love, embrace the romance
Caresses curls of her raven hair
              Lightly kisses his eye lashes

              Sweetly the scent of Lavender
              Embraces the open window
              Ivy upon the sill

Ivy years of growth have brambled
              Embracing the love, sapphire eyes
              Tear drops of evermore

              Sweet their journey to behold
              Their embraces of romance
              Silver riches, gilded ivy ambiance

I can smell these beautiful words drifting
through the air, they settle under me wafting upward
taking me to this beautiful scene you have painted of
romantic love... I am caught up into it and am so pleased
it wraps around me and I do not wish to let it go...

Thank you for this beautiful romantic prose of love...

"Pages parched with desires" Love this phrase. And the insight: another distinctive gem to add to your delightful, and thoughtfully constructed, poetic oeuvre, Lady Mary Ann. Peace to you ...

This hit me like a blow in the face, when I read... ... Love, embrace the romance
Caresses curls of her raven hair. LOL, I won't say why yet it was only a few moments ago that I was writing about such a long gone lass.

Superb poetry

The Heart's Way by Rebecca McKeehan

Love is universal and not limited to the most perfect among us. In this collection of romantic short stories and poetry, love comes to those who are decidedly imperfect, who possess very real human flaws, scars, and challenges. Awaiting us as we are.
