Poet’s Narcissus indulgent bloom
stands reserved under December’s moon
with pallid petals of soft sinew
I admire your self adoring truth
.
Oh, sharpened wit, with blades
doubly edged and pained
I fear these stalks bring blame,
critically esoteric, as the flame
of Hestia’s scorn in shades
.
Once burned, this blossom
now embraces water for want
of the Bas Cameo Parthenon ,
a city of shells, populous diatom

P.S. No I am not from the Starlight Cafe. Bill Murray is my pen name.
This is full of wonderful imagery.
Enjoyed much.
