The boss man asked if I would write

His letter to the Lord

I know you'll convince him

To forgive me

With words through the pen that you pour

So I said it with grace

And I told it with truth

He laughed in pure joy

But I thought about you

I can persuade anyone to do anything when I write

But I just can't seem to write you into my life

Tried to tell you the way that I see it

Keeping it real as I can

There's no denying

It's obvious

You're not like any other man

If I repeat it with grace

And cry out with the truth

Can I bring pure joy
