Love Of All Things © 9.13.15 Sherry Bach

Love, of all things powerful, works to make its believers powerless when in the form of romance. Who can keep it straight? Is it just an attraction or is it really love? Romantic love is not necessarily a true love that will last. Attraction may or may not have anything to do with love at all, which, in that case, it will assuredly run its course and die. Then, if attraction does get entangled in love, is it a romantic love or a true love? Who can tell but time? Who can say unless the romance is stripped away to reveal what's underneath? Surely in the beginning, both romantic love and true love hypnotize a person into a type of stupor; a spell that takes over rational decision making clouding the identity of both loves. Romantic love, in its purest sense, is better left alone and should only be entertained in the mind where it cannot breathe…without breath it cannot destroy the body; only dreamed about in the night where it cannot injure and control in the day; only held close in secret where it can be used for inspiration in the open, but revealed? Ah! No! Romantic love should never be unveiled. Once exposed and acted upon, romantic love's fate is secured and it's anybody's guess whether or not true love will be at romantic love's funeral.

Love is intangible and very hard to understand how
it comes about, but it is there and it finds you,
you don't find it. Romance is the beginning and lasts
far to short as far as I am concerned. I love your
approach...

Always,

Deborah

A lot of deep thought about love. In my mind, the only love that last s is the one that is still there when things really tough. Like Tina Turner sang, 'What's love got to do with it?
