Looking for some good kind love down in the village

Stranded down in Greenwich Village in the busy city that never sleeps,
Looking for a mate to take away those inner state blues
Pubs with their liquid poison, ganja man at the park with his natural high fix,
Giggling young girls dressed up in fancy threads with colorful make up on,
Whatever your need if you got the time and cash they got the cure
Found a kind spirit, found a kind soul,
Took the underground subway back to her place,
Somewhere at the edge of matrix, down by the lazy Hudson River
Beautiful view of the city skyline, tall man made mountains with glowing lights,
Statue of liberty welcoming those stranger travellers one and all,
Empire States Building shinning up to the brilliant stars in the cool winter black night,
George Washington Bridge connecting those untraveled distant lands,
Young couples making love on the long endless boardwalk of dreams,
Just me and my love enjoying each other, enjoying the moment
Went back to her place to drink some wine, and smoke some pot,
Crazy angry gay roommate who just doesn’t understand,
Mean him no harm, mean him no haste
Kiss my good kind love goodnight for the time on her lovely soft fore head,
On just another night in that busy city up there in the Northeast that never ever sleeps.
