Poem about a lost love...

Ways of a wise wayward woman

© Jaimey Perham 02/25/2010

Your power overwhelms me and puts me in my place

I feel so discombobulated, and lost in outer space

I want to learn from your wise wayward womanly ways,

But, part of me is afraid of getting to close to you on this very sad day

I feel like a fool for loving you too much as I watch the soft rain

I often wonder if my wandering mind has finally gone insane

I just care for you so much my love and only want what is best for you

Just say the word, and I will cease contact, and start anew

My heart will always love you, and my mind can always be trained

To love another woman, but we both know that love will never be the same

You have touched a raw nerve with your spirit, and left me with an open wound

I just hope it closes one day, and I can heal sometime soon

Please take this red rose as a gift, and place it in your hair that surrounds that beautiful face

You light up the room with that smile of yours and your eyes shine so bright when you stay

Before you leave me for good know I will always be by your side

We are so much alike, and feed off each other energetically on this magical life ride

I pray and ask that you don’t go just quite yet

Because deep down inside I still think we might have a chance

To finally one day get together again, and this time really dance

So give me a sign if you wish, and tell me what to do

I know now soul mate that it’s always been you…
