Wish I could see you

Time keeps dragging on in this run down old place

I have taken so much from you; I think it’s time I give back

I have the love in my heart; just point me in the right direction

So I may shine some feel good energy your way

You know you are always welcome when you need a space to stay

I would come to you if I knew where your spirit dwells

But, you never seem to hover in one place for longer than a second

I guess it’s just in your city style sense of nature I reckon

In any case, my heart might be bruised, but it’s far from broken

Just need you tonight my love, so we can wipe away our doubts and fears together

And begin to live again, and dry all those waterfall tears together

Shed in the last year when we played those love mind games together

Don’t get me wrong awareness lover I had fun, but the time for mind games is over!

If you still care about me the path is clear and set for you to come see me

I would come to see you, but how do I find a spirit such as yours that’s always flying free

In that alternative universal dimension you inhabit during those wee late night hours

And after granting me your gift of loving presence you leave and forbid me from following

Like I said before, let’s end this competition, and get right to the point

We both need love tonight, and on that note we all need love every night

We humans need a partner in our lives to share our loving souls and set each other right

So if you feel like taking a chance with me, I promise you won’t regret it

I have many surprises and a deep wild passion in my soul to take you away, and keep your fire lit
