DEAR SANTA
I want nothing this year.
I already have a wish come true .
He came to me as a surprise
when I was feeling very blue.
This will be our third Christmas,
and we are constantly together.
There may those who don't believe it,
but each day just gets better and better.
He is polite and thoughtful
never raising his voice.
He's exactly the one I'd have picked
had I been given a choice.
I don't know who decided
to send this man, so kind.
Was it you, Santa?
Were you reading my mind?
If it was, you have my thanks
and don't worry about me any more
because you sent the gift
I truly do adore.
So this Christmas, Santa,
as you and your reindeer fly,
know that I'm happy and content
and this man is the reason why.
No need to stop at my house Santa,
there's nothing I need this year
I already have the man I want,
the one I hold so dear.
