I still remember
when you said to forget,
and that all you wanted
was to watch me,
once,
live only in the moment.
So I did,
forsaking all inhibition,
and I tried kissing you,
a desperate attempt
to catch a closer glimpse
of my sky,
of the stars in your eyes,
yet you pushed me away,
playfully,
a small smile on your face.
And then,
you leaned into me,
all the air in the world
becoming your breath,
warm agaianst me,
and we met,
the barest touch of lips,
ever delicate.
That was the night,
that so softly,
I found myself.
And it's only for knowing you
that I am me.
And even though it's all gone wrong
I swear to god
that the next time,
in the next life,
I'll be so much stronger.
I promise to fix this part of me.
And always,
all that I can say,
is that I am sorry.
Eternally yours,
eternally grateful,
I'm just waiting
for that distant day.
Always.
This reminds me so much of my own experiences with love. Just know that maybe it is not you who needs to change, but them. Lovely poem.

that so softly,
I found myself.
And it's only for knowing you
that I am me. "
My eyes filled with tears, I had to stop for a moment. Beautiful Jason, beautiful.
