You come into my book store,
just to browse
or look around,
smudging all the dust covers
with the utmost of attentions.
I love the way your glasses
frame such a perfect face.
My heart races each and every time
you pass me by.
I burn to sit in silence,
open and awake,
while you read me front to back,
your hands holding us in place.
You see what only poets see,
and I wish that I could look with you.
